Vidrio Technologies was spun out of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2013 to commercialize two-photon laser-scanning microscopy (TPLSM) software, hardware, and imaging services. The company’s primary products are the software package ScanImage® and control electronics that interfaces with microscopes. Vidrio’s software optimizes imaging for a new 5mm field of view TPLSM that allows half of a functioning mouse brain to be imaged with cellular resolution. Large-scale electrophysiology analysis software is also a Vidrio product.
